Tiffany Zern is originally from Philadelphia, PA where she started studying Acrobats when she was 10 years old. Her passion for dance started one year later at a second studio where she took classes in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Horton, Tap, Hip-Hop, and Break Dance. She continued studying Acrobats and tumbled upon partnering cartwheels and two-man back walkovers. Tiffany was inspired to attend the Creative and Performing Arts High School when she saw performances on television of the Thanksgiving Parade located in front of the Art Museum famous for filming the movie, “Rocky,” with Sylvester Stallone.
Tiffany auditioned and was accepted where she trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Break Dance, Horton, Contemporary, Dunham, and African dance. It was at CAPA where she met Shawn-Lamere Williams who taught her Horton from 9th-12th grade. In her senior year, she auditioned for his second dance company called, Eleone Connection, a part of Eleone Dance Theater. She had the opportunity to train with a well known Jazz and Contemporary Choreographer named Wayne St. David. Tiffany’s goal in CAPA was to audition for the Alvin Ailey School located in Manhattan, NYC after she graduated. While performing and rehearsing with Eleone Connection for two years, she auditioned and was accepted into the Independent Study Program. She trained with Ana Marie Forsythe in Horton and Robert Battle in Ballet. With focus and determination, Tiffany excelled further than before in her range of technique.
Tiffany moved back to Philadelphia, PA and began dancing with a black-light mask theater company called, Archedream for Humankind. She traveled to Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert, Nevada in August of 2008 to perform Chorus of Dreams. She also performed in Deep Blue where they traveled and performed in 10 different cities across the U.S. from Philadelphia, PA to Boulder, CO, Denver, CO, Redding, CA, onto Portland, OR, Everett, WA, Chicago, IL Minneapolis, MN, Boston, MA, and NYC. Tiffany also traveled with Archedream for Humankind to Maryland and Tennessee for two separate productions of Deep Blue. It was at this particular dance company that she learned personal acting of the story behind the archetype of the mask. Details were very specific in each hand-made costume and required quickness between costume changes to exude the dynamics of theater onstage.
Tiffany has experience teaching Jazz and Hip-Hop to kids from the ages of 7 years old- 16 years old. She also received her Teaching Certificate in dance. Tiffany has taught basic Salsa lessons for Adults in NYC. She likes to challenge herself and learn new styles of dance. Tiffany moved to Hollywood, CA to pursue a career in Dance Theater. She will receive her BFA in Dance Theater upon graduation from AMDA, College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts. She is very excited to be a new company member of MKM Bollystars USA. She wants to continue choreographing, teaching, and performing. Another goal is of Tiffany’s is to work at Photography. She wrote a business plan and started researching as well as capturing authentic photographs for her portfolio. Tiffany also enjoys singing and acting and would like to be in a musical or film.
